Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Acalanes Dons (Lafayette, CA), 42-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Miramonte upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Matadors host Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA) to play the Broncos in a bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Northgate won 31-28 in their recent league bout against Campolindo (Moraga, CA)

Next up, the Dons play the Campolindo Cougars (Moraga, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Acalanes will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 31-28 league loss to Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA).
