Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA), 41-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Yreka upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Miners host Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA) to play the Falcons in a bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Central Valley lost 65-54 in their recent league bout against Lassen (Susanville, CA)

Next up, the Cubs play the University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Anderson will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 56-51 league win over West Valley (Cottonwood, CA).
