The Newton-Conover Red Devils basketball team scored 30 points and held the visiting West Caldwell Warriors to 26 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Friday.
The Red Devils now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincolnton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Newton-Conover will meet a Wolves team coming off a 39-16 non-league win over Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 1-13.
The Warriors (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Bunker Hill was nudged by Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC), 39-16, in a non-league contest.
