The Freedom Patriots basketball team (Morganton, NC), was nudged 50-47 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC)
The Cougars now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Iredell for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 24. Alexander Central will confront a Vikings team coming off a 41-25 non-league loss to West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 4-10.
The Patriots (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 8-6 record.
