Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bradford Prep Bears (Charlotte, NC), 49-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Piedmont Community Charter upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Patriots host Carolina International (Concord, NC) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Carolina International won 68-67 in their recent league bout against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC)

Next up, the Bears play the Pine Lake Prep Pride (Mooresville, NC) in a bout, on Thursday, January 26. Bradford Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record.
