North Carolina High School Basketball - Shelby can't hold off Burns

The Burns Bulldogs basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the visiting Shelby Golden Lions to 40 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland Tech for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Burns will battle a Rams team coming off a 53-35 non-league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Rams record now stands at 5-9.
The Golden Lions (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen come into the non-league contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Cherryville was nudged by Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC), 33-29, in a non-league contest.
