Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Cedar Shoals Jaguars (Athens, GA), 44-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Walnut Grove upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA) to play the Broncos in a bout on Friday, January 27. The Broncos come into the bout with a record of 2-0. East Forsyth won 69-37 in their recent league bout against North Oconee (Bogart, GA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Seckinger Jaguars (Buford, GA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Cedar Shoals will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 59-15 league win over Johnson (Gainesville, GA).
