Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA), 49-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dan River upgrades its record to 3-9 on the season. The Wildcats host Nelson County (Lovingston, VA) to play the Governors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Governors go into the bout with a record of 6-4.

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Chatham will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Governors go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 62-36 non-league loss to Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA).
