North Carolina High School Basketball - First Flight nips Currituck County

January 20, 2023: Barco, NC 27917

First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), 52-49 in a league bout.

With the win, First Flight upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Nighthawks host Manteo (Manteo, NC) to play the Redskins in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Redskins go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Manteo won 56-49 in their recent non-league bout against Camden County (Camden, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Camden County Bruins (Camden, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Currituck County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 56-49 non-league loss to Manteo (Manteo, NC).
