Virginia High School Basketball - Staunton River knocked off by Lord Botetourt

The Lord Botetourt Cavaliers basketball team scored 39 points and held the host Staunton River Golden Eagles to 31 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alleghany for a non-league contest on Monday, January 23. Lord Botetourt will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 44-33 non-league win over Radford (Radford, VA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 10-3.

The Golden Eagles (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Colonels enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record.
