Manchester Lancers (Midlothian, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Monacan Chiefs (Richmond, VA), 61-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Manchester upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Lancers host Thomas Dale (Chester, VA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Thomas Dale won 56-41 in their recent non-league bout against Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA)

Next up, the Chiefs play the Midlothian Trojans (Midlothian, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Monacan will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 45-33 non-league win over Powhatan (Powhatan, VA).
