In Friday's non-league battle, the host Midway Panthers soccer squad scored a close 4-0 triumph over the Killeen Kangaroos.
The Panthers (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Hutto (Hutto, TX). The Hippos come into the 6A Region 2 District 12 outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Hutto Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX), 1-1, in a non-league outing.
In their next game, the Kangaroos battle the Waco Lions (Waco, TX) in a 5A Region 3 District 22 outing, on Tuesday, January 24. Killeen will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Lions go into the outing with a 4-2 record after their 9-0 non-league win over China Spring (China Spring, TX).
