California High School Basketball - Apple Valley thwarts Barstow

January 20, 2024: Barstow, CA 92311

The Apple Valley Sun Devils (Apple Valley, CA) basketball knocked off the host Barstow Aztecs (Barstow, CA), 74-59 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Sun Devils (12-10) will now prepare for their test against Serrano (Phelan, CA). The Diamondbacks go into the Mojave River test with a 12-12 record. In their last test, Serrano notched a victory over San Bernardino (San Bernardino, CA), 76-57, in a non-league test.

The Aztecs now own a 9-13 record. They play next when they host Victor Valley for a Desert Sky test on Tuesday, January 23. Barstow will encounter a Jackrabbits squad coming off a 54-45 non-league win over Burroughs (Ridgecrest, CA). The Jackrabbits record now stands at 8-8.
