The Banneker Trojans knocked off the visiting Villa Rica Wildcats basketball squad by a margin of 59-41 in Saturday's league test.
The Trojans (8-10) will now prepare for their test against Jackson (Atlanta, GA). The Jaguars go into the AAAAA Region 5 test with a 15-2 record. In their last test, Jackson notched a victory over Mays (Atlanta, GA), 82-58, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Chapel Hill for a AAAAA Region 5 test on Tuesday, January 23. Villa Rica will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 71-50 league win over Midtown (Atlanta, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 13-5.
