Nebraska High School Basketball - Boyd County beaten by Elkhorn Valley

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Elkhorn Valley Falcons basketball team scored a good 55-42 triumph over the Boyd County Spartans.

In their next game, the Falcons meet the Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats (Clearwater, NE) in a C2 District 9 match, on Tuesday, January 23. Elkhorn Valley will attempt to move on its 11-1 season record. The Bobcats enter the match with a 11-2 record after their 60-16 non-league win over Osmond/Randolph (Osmond, NE).

With the defeat, Boyd County moves to 5-8 on the year. The Spartans host West Holt (Atkinson, NE) to meet the Huskies in a non-league match on Monday, January 22. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 8-6. West Holt won 60-39 in their recent non-league match against Elgin/Pope John (Elgin, NE)
