In Saturday's league outing, the Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Crestwood Cadets (Cresco, IA), by a margin of 71-50.

The Indians (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Independence (Independence, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 3-8 record. In their last outing, Independence was trounced by Solon (Solon, IA), 75-35, in a non-league outing.

The Cadets now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they travel to Turkey Valley for a non-league outing on Monday, January 22. Crestwood will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 73-68 non-league win over Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-7.
