Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Dunlap Eagles (Dunlap, IL), 49-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Pekin upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Dragons host Washington (Washington, IL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Washington lost 50-33 in their recent non-league bout against Manual (Peoria, IL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL) in a Mid-Illini bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Dunlap will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 61-52 league win over East Peoria (East Peoria, IL).
