The Shelby Whippets basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Galion Tigers to 54 in the Whippets league triumph on Saturday.

The Whippets now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland for a Mid-Ohio - Red contest on Friday, January 26.

The Tigers (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Upper Sandusky (Upper Sandusky, OH). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Upper Sandusky was defeated by Colonel Crawford (North Robinson, OH), 35-33, in a league contest.
