Nebraska High School Basketball - Gering knocked off by Scottsbluff

The Scottsbluff Bearcats basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Gering Bulldogs to 61 in the Bearcats league triumph on Saturday.

The Bearcats now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mitchell for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25. Scottsbluff will battle a Tigers team coming off a 60-35 non-league win over Southeast (Yoder, WY). The Tigers record now stands at 10-5.

The Bulldogs (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Sidney (Sidney, NE). The Red Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Sidney was defeated by Yuma (Yuma, CO), 67-62, in a non-league contest.
