With the victory, Germantown improves its record to 8-12 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Petal (Petal, MS) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 13-10. Petal won 59-52 in their recent league challenge against Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS)

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Madison Central Jaguars (Madison, MS) in a 7A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Murrah will attempt to improve on its 3-17 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 16-7 record after their 80-48 non-league loss to Jackson Academy (Jackson, MS).
