Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting La Crescent Lancers (La Crescent, MN), 73-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Zumbrota-Mazeppa upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Lewiston-Altura (Lewiston, MN) to clash with the Cardinals in a AA Section 1 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 10-6.

Next up, the Lancers clash with the Dover-Eyota Eagles (Eyota, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. La Crescent will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record.
