Lexington Christian Eagles (Lexington, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY), 72-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Lexington Christian upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Eagles travel to Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY) to play the Thorobreds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Thorobreds go into the bout with a record of 5-10. Harrison County won 76-66 in their recent league bout against Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY)

Next up, the Generals play the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY) in a District 43 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 8-11 record after their 60-33 non-league loss to Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY).
