Lamar Warriors (Lamar, AR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Perryville Mustangs (Perryville, AR), 62-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lamar upgrades its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host Dover (Dover, AR) to play the Pirates in a 3A Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 4-13. Dover won 55-51 in their recent league bout against Maumelle Charter (Maumelle, AR)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Baptist Prep Eagles (Little Rock, AR) in a 3A Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Perryville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record.
