In Saturday's non-league outing, the Oakes Tornadoes (Oakes, ND) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN), by a margin of 62-35.
The Tornadoes (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Richland (Colfax, ND). The Colts go into the B District 1 outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Richland smashed Rothsay (Rothsay, MN), 60-46, in a non-league outing.
The Eagles now own a 14-15 record. They play next when they host Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 23. Maple River will clash with a Bison squad coming off a 66-52 league loss to Sargent County (Milnor, ND). The Bison record now stands at 7-5.
