With the victory, Portledge upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to St. Anthony's (Melville, NY) to play the Friars in a non-league challenge on Sunday, January 21. The Friars come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. St. Anthony's won 56-50 in their recent league challenge against St. Dominic (Oyster Bay, NY)

Next up, the Cougars play the Stony Brook Bears (Stony Brook, NY) in a PSAL Area NYSAIS PSAA - Eastern challenge, on Monday, January 22. Luther will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 79-54 non-league loss to Iona Prep (New Rochelle, NY).
