Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME), 58-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mattanawcook upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Lynx host Calais (Calais, ME) to play the Blue Devils in a C North bout on Thursday, January 25. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 9-2.

Next up, the Dragons play the Narraguagus Knights (Harrington, ME) in a C North bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Woodland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 54-24 non-league win over Shead (Eastport, ME).
