In Saturday's non-league outing, the Montville Wolves (Oakdale, CT) basketball squad beat the host Plainfield Panthers (Central Village, CT), by a count of 62-52.

The Wolves (4-7) will now prepare for their outing against Killingly (Killingly, CT). The Redmen go into the Eastern Connecticut II outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Killingly defeated Wheeler (North Stonington, CT), 57-50, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Putnam for a Eastern Connecticut IV challenge on Tuesday, January 23. Plainfield will play a Clippers squad coming off a 70-47 non-league loss to Stonington (Stonington, CT). The Clippers record now stands at 5-6.
