The Sonoraville Phoenix basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Northwest Whitfield Bruins to 47 in the Phoenix league triumph on Saturday.

The Phoenix now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southeast Whitfield County for a AAAA Region 7 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Sonoraville will meet a Raiders team coming off a 81-53 league loss to Cedartown (Cedartown, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 2-17.

The Bruins (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Cedartown (Cedartown, GA). The Bulldogs enter the AAAA Region 7 contest with a 9-10 record. In their last contest, Cedartown triumphed over Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA), 81-53, in a league contest.
