Alta-Aurelia Warriors (Alta, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South Central Calhoun Titans (Lake City, IA), 55-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Alta-Aurelia upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Warriors host Storm Lake St. Mary (Storm Lake, IA) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-9.

Next up, the Titans clash with the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA) in a Twin Lakes bout, on Tuesday, January 23. South Central Calhoun will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 83-51 non-league loss to Bishop Garrigan (Algona, IA).
