Nebraska High School Basketball - Pierce nudges Battle Creek

In Saturday's league outing, the Pierce Bluejays (Pierce, NE) basketball squad edged the host Battle Creek Braves (Battle Creek, NE), by a count of 31-27.

The Bluejays (8-6) will now prepare for their outing against West Point-Beemer (West Point, NE). The Cadets go into the non-league outing with a 7-7 record. In their last outing, West Point-Beemer held off Wisner-Pilger (Wisner, NE), 47-44, in a non-league outing.

The Braves now hold a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lutheran-Northeast for a non-league outing on Monday, January 22. Battle Creek will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 61-36 non-league loss to Norfolk Catholic (Norfolk, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 2-13.
