Olympian Eagles (Chula Vista, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Carlsbad Lancers (Carlsbad, CA), 67-63 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Olympian upgrades its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Crusaders in a Metro bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 8-10. Mater Dei Catholic won 42-31 in their recent non-league bout against Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Lancers play the Sage Creek Bobcats (Carlsbad, CA) in a Coastal bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Carlsbad will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 13-6 record after their 56-35 league win over San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA).
