The East Rankin Academy Patriots basketball team (Pelahatchie, MS), dropped 59-49 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Pillow Academy Mustangs (Greenwood, MS)

The Mustangs now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rossville Christian Academy for a MAIS 5A District 1 battle on Tuesday, January 23.

The Patriots (28-5) will now prepare for their battle against Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS). The Jaguars come into the MAIS 5A District 2 match with a 5-17 record. In their last match, Wayne Academy overcame Park Place Christian Academy (Pearl, MS), 50-20, in a league match.
