Los Altos Eagles (Los Altos, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), 49-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Los Altos upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Eagles host Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA) to clash with the Matadors in a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Matadors go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Monta Vista won 68-39 in their recent league bout against Homestead (Cupertino, CA)

Next up, the Firebirds clash with the Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) in a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza bout, on Friday, January 26. Fremont will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record.
