With the victory, Germantown improves its record to 15-8 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Starkville (Starkville, MS) to confront the Yellowjackets in a 7A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 17-3.

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Madison Central Jaguars (Madison, MS) in a 7A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Murrah will attempt to improve on its 4-17 season record.
