The Roosevelt Rough Riders basketball team (Kent, OH), was overwhelmed 72-45 in Saturday's league battle with the host Highland Hornets (Medina, OH)

The Hornets now possess a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Revere for a Suburban - American battle on Wednesday, January 24. Highland will battle a Minutemen team coming off a 55-36 league win over Barberton (Barberton, OH). The Minutemen record now stands at 7-8.

The Rough Riders (7-9) will now prepare for their battle against Springfield (Akron, OH). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Springfield was overwhelmed by Woodridge (Peninsula, OH), 47-31, in a league battle.
