Hoover Patriots (Fresno, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting McLane Highlanders (Fresno, CA), 45-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hoover upgrades its record to 9-11 on the season. The Patriots travel to Sanger West (Fresno, CA) to play the Hornets in a North Yosemite bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 7-14. Sanger West won 52-36 in their recent league bout against Sunnyside (Fresno, CA)

Next up, the Highlanders play the Fresno Warriors (Fresno, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. McLane will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 14-7 record after their 49-37 league loss to Roosevelt (Fresno, CA).
