In Saturday's non-league outing, the Iota Bulldogs (Iota, LA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA), by a margin of 59-25.

The Bulldogs (13-9) will now prepare for their outing against Church Point (Church Point, LA). The Bears go into the 3A District 4 outing with a 17-7 record. In their last outing, Church Point was trounced by Hamilton Christian (Lake Charles, LA), 55-46, in a non-league outing.

The Patriots now own a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Northside for a 4A District 4 outing on Tuesday, January 23. North Vermilion will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 43-40 league loss to St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA). The Vikings record now stands at 9-12.
