Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Round Lake Panthers (Round Lake, IL), 40-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Lakes upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Eagles host Grant Community (Fox Lake, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a Northern Lake County bout on Monday, January 22. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-11. Grant Community lost 54-25 in their recent league bout against Grayslake Central (Grayslake, IL)

Next up, the Panthers play the Grayslake Central Rams (Grayslake, IL) in a Northern Lake County bout, on Monday, January 22. Round Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 54-25 league win over Grant Community (Fox Lake, IL).
