The Montclair Mounties basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars to 26 in the Mounties non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Mounties now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Payne Tech for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Montclair will battle a Lions team coming off a 52-40 league loss to Verona (Verona, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 9-4.
The Cougars (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Livingston (Livingston, NJ). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Livingston ran past East Side (Newark, NJ), 46-16, in a non-league contest.
