Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Selma Saints (Selma, AL) and the host Southside Panthers (Selma, AL), saw Selma's basketball squad overcome Southside by a tally of 29-18.

With the victory, Selma improves its record to 13-0 on the campaign. The Saints host Brewbaker Tech (Montgomery, AL) to play the Rams in a 5A Area 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 12-12. Brewbaker Tech won 59-26 in their recent league challenge against Demopolis (Demopolis, AL)

Next up, the Panthers play the Greensboro Raiders (Greensboro, AL) in a 3A Area 7 challenge, on Monday, January 22. Southside will attempt to improve on its 11-3 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 42-38 non-league win over Aliceville (Aliceville, AL).
