Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Dupree Tigers (Dupree, SD) and the visiting Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD), saw Dupree's basketball squad hold off Jones County by a tally of 37-33.

With the victory, Dupree improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Jones County (Murdo, SD) to play the Coyotes in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a record of 3-9.

Next up, the Coyotes play the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves (Eagle Butte, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Jones County will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record.
