Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), 36-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sycamore upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Spartans travel to Dixon (Dixon, IL) to clash with the Dukes & Duchesses in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Dukes & Duchesses go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Maroons clash with the Dundee-Crown Chargers (Carpentersville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
