The Ayden - Grifton Chargers bounced the visiting South Lenoir Blue Devils basketball squad by a final score of 85-49 in Monday's non-league outing.

Next, the Chargers clash with the Washington Pam Pack (Washington, NC) in a 2A Eastern Plains outing, on Wednesday, January 22. Ayden - Grifton will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Pam Pack enter the outing with a 11-5 record after their 63-49 league win over SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC).

The Blue Devils (7-8) will now prepare for their outing against Kinston (Kinston, NC). The Vikings go into the 2A East Central contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Kinston smashed Goldsboro (Goldsboro, NC), 61-53, in a non-league contest.
