The Buffalo Island Central Mustangs basketball squad (Monette, AR), was nudged 55-48 in Monday's league battle with the host Riverside Rebels (Lake City, AR)
With the victory, Riverside advances its record to 21-3 on the year. The Rebels travel to Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR) to meet the Thunderbirds in a 2A Region 3 battle on Friday, January 24. The Thunderbirds enter the battle with a record of 3-12.
The Mustangs now own a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Corning for a 2A Region 3 battle on Friday, January 24. Buffalo Island Central will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 68-42 league loss to East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-12.
