In Monday's non-league contest, the host Carterville Lions basketball team scored a big 58-25 triumph over the Hamilton County Foxes.
The Lions (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Chester (Chester, IL). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league contest with a 8-11 record. In their last challenge, Chester trounced New Athens (New Athens, IL), 51-44, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Foxes encounter the Harrisburg Bulldogs (Harrisburg, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Hamilton County will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record.
