The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Clinton County Bulldogs (Albany, KY) and the visiting Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY), saw Clinton County's basketball team beat Russell County by a tally of 72-57.

The Bulldogs now possess a 18-0 record. They play next when they travel to Russell County for a District 16 bout on Friday, January 24. Clinton County will play a Lakers team coming off a 65-54 league win over Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY). The Lakers record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, Russell County falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Lakers host South Warren (Bowling Green, KY) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 11-5. South Warren won 78-67 in their recent league bout against Greenwood (Bowling Green, KY)
