In Monday's league contest, the visiting Empire Ravens basketball team scored a good 77-67 win over the Safford Bulldogs.

The Ravens (10-13) will now prepare for their contest against Catalina (Tucson, AZ). The Trojans come into the 3A South contest with a 0-12 record. In their last contest, Catalina dropped by Tanque Verde (Tucson, AZ), 70-20, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Andrada Polytechnic Mavericks (Tucson, AZ) in a 3A South contest, on Thursday, January 23. Safford will attempt to better on its 6-11 season record. The Mavericks come into the contest with a 1-14 record after their 69-21 league loss to Thatcher (Thatcher, AZ).
