The Stringer Red Devils basketball squad (Stringer, MS), was crushed 70-21 in Monday's league battle with the host Piney Woods Tornadoes (Piney Woods, MS)

With the victory, Piney Woods advances its record to 8-2 on the year. The Tornadoes travel to Central Hinds Academy (Raymond, MS) to meet the Cougars in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 23. The Cougars enter the battle with a record of 17-10.

The Red Devils now own a 7-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Taylorsville for a 1A Region 7 battle on Tuesday, January 21.
