In Monday's non-league contest, the host Alexandria Valley Cubs basketball team scored a good 61-50 win over the Saks Wildcats.

The Valley Cubs (9-14) will now prepare for their contest against White Plains (Anniston, AL). The Wildcats come into the 4A Area 12 contest with a 6-13 record. In their last contest, White Plains was topped by Weaver (Weaver, AL), 45-31, in a non-league contest.
