Iowa High School Basketball - Algona nips Clear Lake

In Monday's league contest, the host Algona Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 47-44 win over the Clear Lake Lions.
The Bulldogs (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Pocahontas edged South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA), 48-47, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA) in a North Central contest, on Friday, January 24. Clear Lake will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The come into the contest with a 13-1 record after their 45-25 non-league win over Webster City (Webster City, IA).
